About the Role:

Blofield Surgery have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic dispenser to join our friendly, well run, busy team.

This is a part time role for 25 hrs per week which comprise of 8am - 6.30pm Monday and Friday and 8am - 2pm Tuesday.


The post-holder will:
- project a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and deal with queries in a professional and courteous manner.
- accurately process all relevant prescriptions, as authorised by GPs and prescribing nurses, in accordance with the principles of good practice.
- be an integral part of a team to ensure an efficient well-run department is maintained.
- be proactive in identifying ways to further improve and develop the departmental potential and the service provided to its patients.
- manage departmental workload against set time scales and always ensure exactness.

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 2 qualified in dispensing or equivalent.
  • The ability to work under pressure and effectively as a team member.
  • A sound communicator. Good customer service skills.

Desirable:

  • Systmone experience not essential as full training will be given.
