Are you an experienced Buyer currently seeking a new opportunity to further progress you career within procurement and supply chain?


Due to company expansion our client a hugely successful business is currently looking to recruit a
Buyer to join their team.


The Role

  • Review company production program and forecast future procurement requirements
  • Organise and scheduling delivery of parts and materials required
  • Constantly develop and improve supplier relationships
  • Raising purchase orders for parts and materials
  • Expedite purchased parts as and when required to support production requirements
  • Be in constant liaison with category managers ensuring all cancelations are action and closed
  • Constantly monitor and review supplier performances and address and work to resolve reoccurring issues
  • Track progress and manage goods sent out for rework
  • Liaise with quality department to ensure supplier rejects are dealt with as promptly as possible
  • Other relevant duties

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum (2) years + experience in a purchasing / procurement role
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A positive cando attitude towards work
  • The ability to work both alone and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in working with a MRP system
