Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;

This work can include working within a planned response team undertaking work such as small footway jobs, drainage work, repairing safety rail, sign work and general road maintenance activities.

It may also include working in a footway gang undertaking work such as excavating a footway, replacing or installing new kerbs and then reinstating the footway with stone, recycled reco foam base and tarmac.

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

Working as part of a gang undertaking general groundworks for the Foreman on site

Undertake winter maintenance and out of hours duties when needed on a rota

To help make sure work is completed on time

Formal qualifications required;

Clean driving licence

Street works

CSCS Card

Plant Tickets including excavator, roller, dumper

First Aid
***
Skills required;

HGV desired

To be able to use a smartphone and various apps

Experience working around plant on site
******
Experience required;

Experience in ground works including laying kerbs, hand laying tarmac, compaction of tarmac using various plant, site set up and traffic management

Knowledge;

Understanding of road maintenance activities

Personal qualities;

Reliable

Able to work as part of a team

Willing to work overtime when required

Willing to undertake training to further develop skill set

Good timekeeping
