We have a number of exciting and flexible opportunities for Teaching Fellows to support the School of Public Health's postgraduate master's courses:

  • MSc Health Data Analytics and Machine Learning (in collaboration with Data Science Institute)
  • Master of Public Health
  • MSc Epidemiology

Duties and responsibilities:

We are looking for enthusiastic and meticulously organised applicants, with backgrounds in health data analytics, machine learning, epidemiology, public health or biostatistics to, supporting the running and development of these coursers.


As a Teaching Fellow, you would be appointed to work closely on the master's courses which best reflected your own interests and experience, with opportunity to work with the wider education team across the breadth of the School's education activities.

In this role you will be responsible coordinating the delivery the course, supporting the leadership of modules, providing academic and pastoral support for students and contributing to the promotion of good practice and research in education within the School of Public Health

Your excellent communication and problem solving skills will be put to use as you:

  • Teach and facilitate learning on one or more of the School's master's courses;
  • Work closely with module leads to develop the curriculum
  • Provide high quality sensitive and confidential welfare support to students
  • Design and administer fair and authentic assessments for the evaluation of learning

Essential requirements:


You will need a Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or equivalent experience and to have, or be working towards, a recognised teaching qualification.

Substantial experience in Health Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Public Health or Epidemiology education in a higher education setting is also required

These posts are Full-time and part-time for a fixed term of 2 years in the first instance and will be based at the St Mary's Campus, Paddington.
