Job summary:
- With an average annual budget of £3bn, there is a need to ensure that public monies allocated to Homes England are managed timely, accurately and in line with programme parameters. This role sits within the Transaction Services Team within Finance and will support the Transactions Services Senior Manager and Manager in the delivery of all finance transactional processing activities maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial ledgers.
Job description:
Our activities play a key role in ensuring the delivery of Homes England's strategic objectives and keeps the frontline operations working effectively.
Key responsibilities will include:
- organisation and prioritisation of the daily responsibilities and workload of the team.
- review and validation of processes prior to completion, including journals, payment runs, bank reconciliations and supplier creations.
- performing reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances, including control accounts, CIS returns, Government Procurement Card expenditure and Property Insurance data.
- identifying improvements to established procedures and leading discussions to implement improvements.
- building effective working relationships with other departments to maintain the highest level of service to our customers.
Person specification:
We are looking for someone who has:
- high level of finance experience.

- the ability to recognise potential issues and awareness of when they should be flagged to senior colleagues.
