This is an exciting opportunity for a Ward Receptionist to join a diverse and motivated team that are dedicated to the development of skills and the delivery of high quality safe care.


As the Ward Receptionist you will often be the first point of contact for patients and visitors when entering or telephoning Southwell Ward, so a friendly, welcoming smile and excellent communication skills are essential.


As a caring and positive person you will need to be able to work as part of an established team, have the ability to work flexibly and be committed to ensuring the smooth running of reception.


We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, content with working in a busy environment and who has good time management skills.


You must have excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

It is essential that you act professionally at all times, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise your work load

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to provide a professional, efficient and comprehensive reception service. Staff are expected to be courteous and considerate at all times and have excellent customer care skills.


After appropriate training the post holder will be required to utilise the hospital computer systems to capture and update necessary data.


The role requires close liaison with other services and the provision of a courteous, reliable and quality consumer service to patients, relatives and carers, healthcare professionals, internal departments and outside organisations.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
