Job Outline:


To lead a warehouse team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all operations, within the company's main warehouse facility, including inbound, outbound, inventory, exception, logistics and order fulfilment.


Key Performance Indicators:


  • KPIs on ontime, accuracy, cost
  • KPI on the rate of return to establish customer satisfaction rates
  • KPI on the efficiency of warehouse operations

Main Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Achieving and exceeding customer targets
  • Managing and Coordinate with the operational team to drive enhanced performance
  • Oversee and monitor the performance of warehouse subdepartments
  • Recognise and implement improvements to warehouse processes
  • Develop team leaders to manager their areas to ensure customer expectations are in line with KPIs
  • Managing staff to ensure sufficient cover and arranging shifts
  • Engage with warehouse staff to encourage engagement and enthusiasm
  • Maintaining warehouse staff results by onthejob training, coaching, mentoring and disciplining, where necessary
  • Champion a safe working environment, ensures Health & Safety is adhered to across the site
  • Responsible for biannual and rolling stock checks
  • Ensure regular checks and unkeep of premises, equipment and Company trucks are in line with maintenance agreements
  • Prepare plans for operational peaks and projects
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by senior management
  • Ensure that vehicles, machinery and equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience required:

  • Management experience in a warehouse environment
  • A positive attitude to building relationships and leading a team by example
  • Passion for identifying problems and implementing solutions
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Problemsolving skills with a 'can do' mindset
  • Experience in people management including knowledge of disciplinary/grievance/mentoring processes

Desirable:


  • IOSH qualified/good knowledge of current H&S regulations

Salary:
£30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
