To support the future growth of the airport, we are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in assisting with the day to day coordination of all aspects of health and safety management.

This a new and exciting role, which will offer the opportunity to work in a hands on capacity across all areas of the airport operation, ensuring the airport fully complies with all health and safety legislation, as well as driving forward continual improvements.

Snapshot of the role:

The role operates as part of our Compliance team, operating across the whole airport and the main aspects of the role are:

Maintaining the airport's Health and Safety Management System, including document control, record keeping, staff training, internal audits and compliance evaluations

Carry out investigations in the event of an incident/accident, gathering evidence and keeping records.

Ensure staff and business partner compliance with LBA's Health and Safety Policy and Protocols

Complete internal audits of LBA's Health and Safety Management System, and external audits of Business Partner safety systems

Participating in/performing site-wide workplace inspections across all airport operations.

Work to achieve the targets, objectives and initiatives as detailed within the airport's KPIs.

Collaborate with all departments and business partners to drive the wider safety agenda.

Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all legislation.

Supporting the wider Health, Safety, Environment and Compliance (HSE&C) team as required.

What we are looking for:

***Desirable qualifications include membership of IOSH and experience with ISO45001 Safety Management Systems.

This is an extremely varied and exciting role working a Monday to Friday working pattern.
