£40,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

About The Company:

My Client are specialists in fully supported hard metal roofing, facades, cladding systems, and flat roofing for all types of projects.

Working with some of the UKs largest manufacturers systems, including inverted hotmelt, built-up-felt warm roofs, single ply and cold applied liquid plastics, they are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has at least 3 years industry experience to join their growing team.

Main Duties:

Daily tasks will change depending on the day and the project but can consist of:

Working with surveying team, organising AFP's etc.
Cost reporting and regular reporting of accurate reconciliations and forecasting
Reviewing labour schedules and comparing to progress on site
Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontract parameters
Reviewing drawings and comparing construction drawings to tender drawings, keeping note of any changes
Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with Client, Client Representatives and Supply Chain.
Managing several subcontracts and contractors
An indepth general understanding of various construction subcontracts (e.g. JCT Design and Build, NEC3 etc.) mainly NEC.
Compiling subsubcontract orders including enquiry and pricing documentation. General subcontract procurement
Timely submissions in accordance with Contract requirements to maximise profit and cash flow.
Identifying risks and making recommendations as to how risk can be overcome.
Be aware of contractual matters to protect the Company's position at all times.
Good and clear communication skills
Approx 2 days a week visiting site

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management to degree level or equivalent (2:1 or above)
Full driving licence required
CSCS card ideal but not a necessity
Strong knowledge of construction principles
Good IT skills generally, and proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Selfmotivated, detail orientated and well organised
Be able to work well with a team or individually
Possess good communication skills
