£25,200 - £28,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits such as Private Medical Insurance and Private Dental Insurance, Life Assurance and Discounted gym facilities
On a typical day you will:
- Assist in Decontamination service, receiving endoscopes, checking, processing to get ready for use and processing to return to the Decontamination Unit.
- Spend time with patients, ensuring they are continually monitored while in Recovery, recording changes in patient health and alerting the Recovery Nurse.
- Assist the Consultant Endoscopist while under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- Prepare the appropriate equipment prior to the start of a list, which may include wheelchairs, trolleys, endoscopy accessories and undertaking the appropriate checks to ensure the equipment is clean and used safely.
- Assist the Endoscopy team in ensuring correct equipment and accessories are stocked in procedure rooms at the beginning of the list.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
- Level 4 NVQ certification in Health & Social Care or Care Certificate
- Previous experience in an acute/hospital setting
- Experience within Endoscopy or a similar environment ( i.e theatres)
