** £144 - £208 per day

The SEMH Teacher Role:


As an SEMH Teacher, you will be teaching Art or English to students in KS3 and KS4, up to GCSE level.

It is important that you differentiate work effectively to suitably challenge the pupils in your class - you will receive assistance from support staff withthe individual needs of your students.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will also deliver enrichment sessions in the afternoon, which can take the form of off-site trips or engaging activities within school.


The SEMH Teacher:


For this SEMH Teacher role, you must have experience working in an Alternative Provision, or a similar setting, such as a Pupil Referral Unit.

You must have strong behaviour management skills and be able to build a solid rapport with the young people you areteaching.

You do not need to be a QTS SEMH Teacher, however experience instructing classes and managing behaviour is essential.

You should have a good knowledge of SEMH needs and SEN, and be able to support the needs of your students.

This Alternative Provision located in South Birmingham caters for KS3 and KS4 pupils with additional needs, resulting in them leaving mainstream education.

Many of the pupils have SEMH needs, SEN and challenging behaviour. The leadership team is outstandingand are incredibly supportive.
