**Central London
£35,000 - £45,000**+ Bonus & benefits


The Company
An Assistant Accountant is sought by this truly leading global £multi-billion turnover professional services group.

Operating within the UK, Europe, US and AsiaPac markets, they have developed an enviable reputation for outstanding client service and deliveringinnovative specialist products and unique solutions.

Continued growth has resulted in the need for a bright graduate part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA ideally from a large corporate environment, to assume a high-profile Assistant Accountant within their Treasuryfunction.


Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant

  • Responsible for consolidating, analysing, reporting and advising on global cash flows and net investment to enable the firm to manage these assets efficiently
  • Proactive engagement with offices to centralise cash and ensure that the firm's cash is in the right place at the right time and in the right currency
  • Ensure that the centre has optimal funds, avoids unnecessary costs, and generates interest income where possible
  • Provide accurate and timely cash and working capital reports and advice to Senior Management
  • Ensure inter office FX exposures in offices are reduced and the exposures are moved to the centre to be managed

Skills & Attributes of the Assistant Accountant

  • Part qualified accountant or part qualified AMCT and studying towards full qualification.
  • Previous accounting or treasury experience including cash flows, cash management, working capital management, Ability to understand business and perform analytical reviews.
  • Excellent advanced excel skills.
  • Analytical and commercially astute
  • Can work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Good communicator with all levels
  • Patience and determination
  • BW/Analysis for Excel
  • User of SAP or of another enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Able to initiate and seethrough effective management of reporting routines
  • Preempts business issues before they arise, putting in place strategies to overcome potential problems
  • Analytical and commercially astute
  • Can work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Good communicator with all levels
  • Patience and determination
