Description

Cambridge, Coventry or Gateshead, Hybrid role

Permanent and Fixed Term Contract opportunities

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

We have a number of exciting opportunities to join us as a Business Change Leader, where you will use your expert blend of programme, project and change management, business analysis and improvement skills to have a real impact on change in UK Education within our company.

About the role
Are you a Programme Manager that would like to explore a new role where you can work closely with various stakeholders, using your people skills to support teams to realise the benefits of change?

Or perhaps you are looking for a varied and fulfilling role where you can have an impact, putting our teachers and learners at the heart of what you do.

This is an excellent opportunity to use your passion for change to make a significant contribution to the future success of UK Education.

Working across the breadth of our business functions, and alongside partners in the wider Cambridge University Press & Assessment organisation, you will be responsible for delivering a personal portfolio of large-scale, integrated, and complex change initiatives.

Your portfolio will flex throughout the year as priorities evolve which could include leadership of critical business change initiatives to support assessment delivery or organisational change.

You will think creatively to find better ways of doing things, identifying and driving opportunities for improvement which are underpinned by evidence from business teams.

Working alongside 'business as usual' delivery, you will lead empowered, cross-functional teams, creating an environment that fosters innovation, learning and questioning their own assumptions.

You'll be comfortable working with ambiguity, able to challenge constructively and generate a credible and trusted presence.

In return you will be part of a strong, mutually supportive team at the heart of transformation that will support your personal development as a leader of change.

About you
A highly organised programme and project manager, you will have a thorough understanding of change management approaches and methodologies.

You'll establish strong governance around your portfolio and engage effectively with existing governance structures in UK Education and wider organisation to champion your projects.

Using your excellent communication skills, you will partner with many levels of stakeholders to understand their needs, solve problems and coach connections.

You will therefore need to be an empathic, active listener and critical thinker, working with teams to build commitment, unblock challenges and secure successful change outcomes.

A confident leader, you will use your highly developed people management skills to support the development of others and will be comfortable to challenge thinking and question assumptions in a constructive way.
