Grain Store Operator - £26,000 Per Annum - Based in Diss, Norfolk - Monday to Friday - Permanent

The purpose of the role is to assist the Stores Team with store operations, whilst maintaining the plant machinery.

The role would ideally suit someone who is focused, methodical, hands on and someone who looks to grow within a business.


Hours
Monday to Friday - 7.00am till 4.30pm = 40 hour working week


Salary
£26,000 per annum


Duties Include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Stores Team with store operations primarily at the site but at other locations as and when required.
  • Ability to repair and maintain plant equipment, using the right tools and equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose hydraulics and general maintenance faults and successfully carry out repairs.
  • Ability to adhere to Health and Safety practices and procedures at all times.
  • General stores duties of replenishing stock and maintaining stock levels.
  • Dealing with unexpected challenges in an appropriate manor.
  • Able to give outstanding team assistance, so that the plant runs at its optimum.

What you will need:


  • Be proactive with a hands on approach to problem solving, dealing with unexpected challenges when they arrive and achieve results.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and have a methodical approach to your working methods.
  • Able to work well under pressure, especially during their busy season.
  • Willing to travel to other sites on occasion if required.
  • Good with communicating with others and managers.
  • A PA Pesticide Certification would be beneficial for this role, but is not essential.
  • Full clean UK driver's licence essential
