Hours:
Hours of work are variable with a minimum of 5 hours per week.

- The charity does cannot guarantee to provide a maximum number of hours work, but it is anticipated you will be required to work hours per week on a variable basis, between the hours of 9am and 8pm Monday to Sunday.

Purpose of the post
We are looking to appoint a conscientious caretaker with a 'can do' attitude.

You will work with our friendly and professional team to provide Llanddulas Youth and Community Centre, and their users with a safe and clean environment, and acting as a key-holder to prepare and open the centre for upcoming activities, and support the running of some regular activities ensuring the centre is cleared and cleaned ready for the next session.


The post requires a hard-working, honest, self-motivated and organised person, who is willing to uphold the aims and values of the Centre.

Key-holder duties will include set-up, opening and closing for various parties, training and events at the centre as required, and in conjunction with the other key holders.

This is a flexible element, and the team work together to ensure that all activities run smoothly. Support the upkeep of cleanliness of Community Centre including toilets, Sports Hall, Main Hall, kitchen, office, and communal areas.


Hours of work


This is a part time job offering a minimum of 5 hours a week, but on occasions this may be increased to 12 hours as requested by the management committee.

The 'working' week will be agreed at the interview, and will be flexible in part, with static clean times, and flexible opening/key-holder duties at other times.

Static hours are as follows, and will require the applicant to be available during these times:
Monday 11am - 12pm

Thursday 4pm - 5.30pm

All other working hours will be on a flexible basis.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To act as keyholder, and open and close for parties and adhoc events.
  • To prepare the rooms for some sessions, including setting up rooms for training events, and ensuring that adequate equipment is in place for their use (toilet rolls, hand towels, chairs etc)
  • To vacuum the entrance, main hall, and office
  • To sweep and mop the sports hall, kitchen, and the toilet areas.
  • Empty and replace bags in all waste bins in the building.
  • Clean toilets and replace toilet roll and paper towels.
  • To wipe down kitchen work surfaces, counter area and cooker as needed
  • Keep the utility room clean and tidy at all times and your cleaning materials safely stored.
  • To clean tables & chairs in the main areas as needed
  • To advise the management committee when cleaning stock is required.
  • To wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
  • To be responsible for the Health & Safety of yourself and others working in your work area and ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are followed at all times.
  • To maintain lines of communication with management committee to ensure a proactive attitude to problem solving.
  • To represent Llanddulas Youth Club in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  • To undertake such additional duties, appropriate to the post and to support the organisation's wider goals by working flexibly across the organisation from time to time as discussed and agreed with your manager.

Salary:
