MVP Recruitment is an established Financial Services recruitment firm working with many of the top financial advisory firms in the industry nationwide.

Our client is a well-established IFA practice that has been active for nearly 30 years. They specialise in all forms of financial planning, in particular with investments, pensions and tax planning.

They are currently undergoing an exciting period of growthand are looking to bring on a paraplanner maximise the effective running of the paraplanner team for the business and to support the achievement of the organisation goals and objectives as required.

The incoming individual would be working with and supportingthe effectiveness of financial advisors within the business.

The ideal paraplanner would also be attending client meetings with the advisor and gaining solid practical experience as well as delivering solid technical skills.

The practice offers good benefits, a discretionary performance-based bonus, career progression, and a very good work/life balance.

The client is willing to pay up to £50,000/Annum plus benefits, depending on experience for the right individual.


Responsibilities

  • Attending Client meetings with the financial advisors.
  • Writing Engagement Letters.
  • Writing suitability reports.
  • Keying stopping/changing/ starting contributions/withdrawals.
  • Keying Drawdowns.
  • Keying Bed & SIPPs.
  • Completing provider forms.
  • Updating Voyant.
  • Update calculators.
  • Cash & Rebalance Reports.
  • Rebalancing.
  • Checking CGT Reports.
  • CF Calculations.
  • Phased Investments.

Requirements:


  • Ideally have a level 4 qualification in Financial Planning (DipFA, DipPFS, CISI IAD with Financial Planning)
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills.
  • Broad experience of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Manages time effectively with the ability to multitask.
  • Keeps calm when faced with conflicting demands and handles these effectively.
  • Open to change with a creative approach to problem solving.
  • Always demonstrates a positive attitude.
  • Works well on own tasks as well as on shared goals as part of a team.
