We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to help manage our six-person learning disability and mental health care home in Heysham.
This is a client-focused role, where you will help promote the individual's independence, as well as areas such as support planning, staff development and risk management.
What does the role involve?
As a Senior Support Worker you will manage your own case load, ensuring service users needs are being met to the highest standard and that people are able to lead fulfilling lives with freedom, choice and safety.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating and scheduling the service for clients (including keeping care plans up to date)
- Helping clients achieve outcomes
- Ensuring clients are happy and content with the service
- Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the wellbeing of service users
- Providing leadership to frontline care staff through supervisions and appraisals
- Inducting and assessing new staff members to ensure they're compatible and have the skills and knowledge to work with your clients
- Ability to adapt and address situations quickly
What qualifications and experience do you need?
- Firstly, we are looking for a customerfocused person who has a commitment to quality of care while achieving business objectives
- You will be able to plan, implement and assess ideas to improve the lives of our service users
- Previous experience in the care sector is preferred.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20-42 per week
Salary:
£11.20 per hour
