We're seeking a future team member for the role of
EMEA Head of Sanctions Controls Assurance to join our Enterprise Sanctions Control Assurance team.

This role is located in **Manchester, United Kingdom

  • Hybrid Work Model **.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead a regional team of professional staff in overseeing the development and execution of Sanctions controls
  • Partner with Operations, Legal, Product and Compliance team to ensure the implementation of Sanctions controls in the firm are compliant with all relevant Sanctions regulations and policies
  • Lead all Sanctions control activities across functions in your respective region, including the allocation and management of resources.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining internal strategies, processes and procedures related to monitoring of sanctions regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with vendors to assess their technology and to guide their product roadmap in support of BNYM goals.
  • Manage and provide communication to regulatory agencies and internal audit.
  • Providing written and verbal issue management communications with Senior Management, Lines of Business and Compliance.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations are adhered to.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required; advanced degree preferred
years of work experience with 5+ years of management experience preferred

  • Preferred years of Sanctions experience
  • Experience managing teams with a demonstrated track record of process improvement and operational excellence
