Senior Case Officer (Regulatory)

Minimum criteria- Experience working in a Regulated environment and particularly relating to Consumer Investment products- Experience in managing a varied, high volume and demanding workload, ensuring actions are completed to the standards expected in a timely manner at pace.- Relevant experience in investigating, assessing and analysing information from a range of different sources to arrive at the appropriate outcome.


Essential criteria Engagement: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information & analysis to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise and compelling way.

Ability to flex style to communicate effectively, build relationships and build consensus to get buy-in.

Ability to engage with empathy and curiosity and use appropriate questioning techniques to strengthen depth of own understanding.- Delivery: Ability to maintain focus on achieving desired outcomes.

Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills, including proven ability to work under pressure on a diverse set of competing priorities, tasks and issues.

Ability to break work down into structured tasks and coordinate effectively with others to deliver on-time, to the desired quality.

Attention to detail, taking pride in work and ensuring it is of the highest standard.- Self-management: Ability to work independently with mínimal oversight.

Ability to manage own energy and demonstrate resilience when under pressure.

Self-aware and willing to learn and develop, adopting a flexible and pragmatic approach to your work.- Experience in building and managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management. Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Desirable criteria- Experience in using Salesforce and/or Tableau.- Experience working in a Regulated environment and particularly relating to Consumer Investment products- Good knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry, either from a practitioner's or consumer's perspective.- Knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory environment in which financial services firms operate, including the FCA's approach to Authorising firms and individuals.- Knowledge and understanding of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR).


Useful Information- This role is graded as Senior Associate - Regulatory- The FCA has a national role and is committed to a national footprint.

This role can be based in London, Edinburgh or Leeds- The FCA has London and National Pay ranges to reflect regional differences.


The salary for this role will be:

  • London
  • The salary will be £50,000
  • £60,000 plus a competitive
  • benefits package

- and non-contributory pension.
  • National (Leeds and Edinburgh)
  • The salary will be £47,000 £57,000 plus a competitive
  • benefits package

- and non-contributory pension.

Additional Information


The FCA supports hybrid working and you will be expected to work 40% of your time over a month, in our office.
