UPS Security Technician

South & West - Temp 12 Month Contract

Security Technician South & West however flexibility is required with the working hours to accommodate certain activities of the role at other UPS sites.

Security is 24/7 within UPS, the applicant must be prepared to work out of hours and may be called upon to respond in the case of an incident.

This role could include travel and overnight stays.

Responsibilities:_
Prevention of Loss and Damage to our Customers merchandise by assisting our operations in providing a quality service and ensuring safe transit through our network.
Auditing the implementation and adherence to Operational and Security processes and procedures within UPS Small Package, Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics facilities.
Safeguarding our Buildings and Facilities, Vehicles and Assets through Risk Assessment, Auditing and implementation of Physical Security Measures.
Claim Analysis, Investigation and Reporting of Security related incidents and development of corrective action plans.
The applicant will also be required to be the primary contact for all outofhour calls on a rotasystem within the department.
Requirements:_
In depth knowledge of UPS operations
Excellent working knowledge of computers; essentially Microsoft Word, Excel and Email
Hold a full clean driving licence, current passport and be able to travel to any other country
Organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Must work with the highest level of Discretion and Integrity and maintain absolute confidentiality
Previous work in Security role preferable but not essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
