Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Procurement Officer to join an organisation in Preston. The role will be an interim contract for 6 months. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days from home.
The Role:
- Support in the development of your category's strategy
- Lead on a number of lower value procurement projects
- Promote value added opportunities to the wider organisation
- Maximise the use of the organisations funds
- Keep up to date with market trends to help contribute to procurement planning and advising stakeholders
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, promoting best practice along the way
- Provide procurement guidance
- Ensure delivery of compliant contracts and improve compliance statistics
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
The Person:
- MCIPS or working towards desirable
- Experience in Public Sector procurement
- OJEU/FTS
- Knowledge of esourcing platforms
- Knowledge of procurement legislation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
