We're looking for an Environment and Social Value Coordinator to join our Strategic Projects team at The New Millsike Prison at Full Sutton.

We are recruiting for an Environment and Social Value Administrator who will report to the projects' Environment and Sustainability Manager and Social Value Manager to assist in driving the Environment and Social Sustainability commitments for the project and to assist in ensuring compliance with the Projects' key performance indicators.

In this exciting role you will proactively work with project teams, subcontractors, and local stakeholder partners, to establish and develop social engagement sessions so help support the needs of our local community.

The role will also involve the use of the SmartWaste Tool for the project, to ensure compliance on waste generation, energy, water use and material supplies.


Responsibilities:


As an Environment and Social Value Coordinator, you'll be working within the Major Projects team, supporting them to deliver agreed key performance targets during the lifecycle of the project.

You will produce environmental and social value communications, engage with the supply chain to identify innovations and best practice as well as be experienced in the handling of sensitive information.


Your day to day will include:

  • Assist with the delivering of engagement sessions/workshops with local education, employability, and community based partners
  • Assist with driving social sustainability on the project and attend meetings and support in maintaining relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Liaise with subcontractors across the site to collate documentation for SmartWaste as well as attend regular meetings with the SmartWaste coordinator to ensure the projects data is correctly uploaded.

Who are we looking for?
This role of Environment and Social Value Coordinator is great for you if you:

  • previous experience of working within the environment discipline and have a good understanding of the Environmental and Social Sustainability obligations and requirements for the project
  • Have the ability to build good stakeholder relationships
  • Experienced user of Office 365 including
  • Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & One Drive.
