This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join the Children's Hospital, delivering high quality administrative and clinical support for the Metabolic service.
You will join a busy and friendly team and work alongside the consultants, nursing and clinical teams, as well as managers across the speciality.
We are looking for a highly motivated member of staff who demonstrates an enthusiasm and commitment to continually improving standards of patient care.
Previous experience of working with children and young people and/or health care settings is an advantage.

You will require a willingness to learn new skills and in return you will have the opportunity to develop in your role.
You will learn new skills such as supporting and educating families and carers in managing their child's metabolic conditions whilst at the same time becoming a valued member of the team.
The role will alternate between working in the main office area, dealing with a telephone calls and clinic management and assisting the Nurse Specialists and Dietitians during patient facing activity.
You will support the patients and their families and liaise with social care providers, GP's and other outside agencies regarding the patients care plans both verbally and in writing.

Be based in the Nottingham Children's Hospital and work collaboratively within the multi professional Child and Adolescent East Midland's Collaborative Metabolic Service.
To work as a member of a team providing a high quality service to children and young people with metabolic conditions.

To support the maintenance of a robust framework that meets the needs of children and young people with metabolic conditions.
Assist the development of health promotion and educational resources in conjunction with other health care professionals ensuring that all patient care within the multidisciplinary team is based on research.
Be able to work independently within the scope of the role.
