Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an exciting new role to lead the Efficiency and Sustainability Programme across the NHS Golden Jubilee University Hospital.

The post is responsible for building a programme approach to the identification and delivery of sustainable efficiencies across the organisation.

Establishing a new costing methodology to complement the workstream approach towards the delivery of recurrent efficiency schemes, the postholder will also lead the SLA negotiations.

Effective monitoring and reporting of performance against targets will be a key responsibility of the role, utilising a revised understanding of the cost of activity across all Territorial Boards.

In addition the post holder will be responsible for the organisation's Innovation portfolio, including Research and Development, the renowned Centre for Sustainability and The NHS Scotland Academy.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, the post is responsible for engaging services, including lead clinicians in understanding the principles of Best Value.

This is a senior role providing financial leadership and timely financial planning through the reporting of information and expert financial advice to the senior management teams of the clinical divisions and across the Finance Department.

The NHS Golden Jubilee University Hospital is Scotland's largest National Treatment centre, delivering services for Scotland across Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Endoscopy, General Surgery as well as world-class leading National services such as Heart Transplant.

The Finance function itself has embarked on an improvement programme, with the first step being a recent restructure, including investment in additional posts.

It is an exciting time to be joining the team as we look to build a 'best-in-class' function in order to provide excellent financial and decision making support to operational and clinical colleagues.
