Activities of the team/department that this role will operate in;

Winter driver - supply gritting services for Ringway on behalf of Surrey County Council. Driver will be expected to remain on call as part of a rota thourhg the entire winter season (Oct-April). The driver will be notified of a gritting run as and when required

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

Winter driver

Formal qualifications required;

Minimum - HGV class C

Desirable - NVQ in winter maintenance

Skills, Experience & Knowledge required;

Class C licence

Personal qualities;

Hard worker and willing to carry out necessary tasks to ensure the safety of the road users within Surrey
