Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a
Local Authority, based in the
Derbyshire, which is in need of a
Highways Legal Assistant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance you legal repertoire and experience a thriving Local Authority.

Role:
Highways Legal Assistant

Location:
Derbyshire, hybrid or remote working

Rate:
£16-£22ph umbrella

Contract Length: 4 months ongoing***
The duties of a Highways Legal Assistant:

Handle your own caseload of
s278 and s38 Highways act agreements:
Develop and maintain knowledge of Highways Law
Act on behalf of the customers in legal proceedings and to attend and advise at meetings both internally and externally

The Person:

Someone with an LLB/LLM and ideally an LPC
Someone who can handle their own caseload of s278 and s38 Highways Act agreements and has ideally worked for a Local Authority
Someone with an awareness of statutory and governance frameworks relating to Local Authorities with particular focus on Highways agreements
