GBR Recruitment are working exclusively with a leading business, recruiting for an experienced ER Specialist (Employee Relations) to manage ER case loads, bring all ER cases to a successful close / solution.
In this 3-4 months fixed term ER Specialist contract role, you will be reporting directly to the Head of HR as well as working alongside the HR Operations Business Partner, the ER Specialist / ER Manager is a hands-on role as the first pointof contact for all ER queries, ER cases & ER concerns that are raised, playing a key part in providing end-to-endsupport to key stakeholders.
You will be experienced in a ER Management role / ER capacity (ER Manager, ER Specialist, ER Advisor, ER Officer or similar functions within a HR/ER team).
Employee Relations duties:
- Managing a varied number of ER case loads (currently under 30 cases) of disciplinary, grievance, capability and attendance issues that have been passed to the HR/ ER team, to resolve in an effective manner.
- To support, advise & coach Senior Managers / department leads on all matters relating to current employment law & in all aspects of employment relations / employee relations & support.
- Log & Report on all ER activity.
- All ER paperwork / documentation control.
- Reviewing and updating company policies/procedures in line with current employment legislation.
- Devise, plan & manage new ER control implementation programmes.
- Working alongside the HR Business Partner to identify any patterns & trends with ER cases.
- Develop & roll out ER learning materials for key stakeholders to guide them on all people matters.
- Analysing ER and workforce data, such as: attrition, vacancies, engagement surveys to understand the businesses culture & ER status, driving a CI approach to reduce ER cases / issues.
- Maintain, Manage & Update Case Documents on the inhouse System.
- Prioritising Case Loads effectively & resolving the Cases quickly & concisely.
- Support case loads that could or will most likely lead to an Employment Tribunal, plus attend ET's.
- Work with Occupational Health & other teams.
- Manage, coach & develop the companies HR Coordinator.
- Support the HR department where required.
- To lead on specific ER / HR projects as agreed with the Head of HR.
- Promote full inclusion & diversity values across the business.
ER Specialist Attributes:
- CIPD Level 7 or CIPD Level 5 Qualified
- Time served in an ER Specialist, ER Manager, ER Advisor or ER Officer role or similar with ER duties.
- Vast ER caseload experience, high volumes of varying complexities.
- You will be fully up to date will all current Employment Law, legislation & Compliance.
- Up to date with all HR / ER policies / procedures.
- Ideal is experience of HR, ER & Safeguarding in the Healthcare / Social Care sector or similar
- Strong project management experience.
