The Company
Our client is a successful manufacturing company due to growth they now require a Logistics Team Leader.


The Role

  • Controlling logistics finished goods movements to support customer deliveries whilst ensuring Quality, Cost, Delivery, People Key Performance Indicators are met and improved.
  • React and escalate in case of problems regarding H and S.
  • Deploy continuous improvement tools.
  • Actively participating in 8D activities and other workshops.
  • Encourage team participation in the improvement ideas process.
  • Take ownership of improvement ideas implementation.
  • Lead meetings, communicating the previous days KPI results, problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Train, coach, mentor and develop your team and new employees.
  • Deploy 5s system and manage team adherence.
  • Working a 2shift system

The Person

  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role in logistics essential.
  • Experience of working in a dispatch environment is desirable.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques is desirable.
  • Experience of working to targets and deadlines is essential.
  • Experience of working as part of a team essential.
  • An organised and structured way of working is essential.
  • Flexibility essential.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • Must be happy working a 2shift system.
