About the Job:

To support the People Partners and Head of People to deliver an outstanding employee experience across Lipsy Group.

This role will partner with the business taking responsibility for Employee Relations, Performance Management, Onboarding, Engagement, Benefits and People Data, with support where required.


In addition, you will oversee the People Assistant to ensure that all elements of people administration are managed accurately and efficiently.

Further to this, this role will lead on all reward processes including budgeting, pay review and bonus.

You will also be the go to person for our payroll system NEP, establishing and maintaining key relationships with teams at NEXT to ensure system accuracy and that we are optimising its functionality.


Your role:


People experience

  • Proactively lead and support the delivery of the Lipsy employee experience, identifying opportunities for new ways of working to drive and improve productivity and employee engagement
  • Continuously seek for better, more efficient ways of working and partners with the relevant teams to streamline processes
  • Continuously review and identify opportunities to improve employee experience using both internal and external insights
  • Supports the People Partners with arranging and facilitating team days and across the business
  • Supports the People Partners with Talent Mapping meetings
  • Supports the People Team with executing projects and delivering new initiatives
  • Accurately produces People Statistics for the People Team on a quarterly basis and recommends solutions to drive improvements across the business based on findings
  • Oversees the management of the Onboarding journey by the People Assistant, ensuring that new starters receive an efficient and informative onboarding journey

Policies and Procedures

  • Support and advise line managers on any ER processes, ensuring a best practice approach and escalates any complex cases to the People Partner as necessary.
  • Prepare documentation for grievances, disciplinary, performance management, sickness absence meetings and flexible working and support line managers with note taking where appropriate.
  • Responsible for ensuring our published policies and Handbook are always in line with NEXT and reflect any changes in legislation.
  • Continuously reviews our documentation and letter templates to ensure they are relevant, legally compliant and reflect our Company culture.
  • Manages all processes within the Family Friendly policy across the business to explain the pay, leave and process ensuring that all employees are knowledgeable and comfortable, escalating any complex cases to the People Partners as necessary.

Reward & Benefits

  • Supports the People Partners with the biannual pay review process including budgeting; managing all documentation and required reporting
  • Supports People Partners with all documentation, processing and reporting for the annual bonus
  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the available benefits across the Group and relates them to people processes where needed
  • Oversee complex payroll queries, escalating this to the People Partner where necessary
  • Conduct regular research and audits to ensure processes are aligned with uptodate legislation (GDPR and National Minimum Wage)
  • Manages and maintains the Lipsy group salary grids, working with the People Partners and Talent team when necessary to benchmark roles and update salaries accordingly.
  • Ensure salary grids are always up to date and present within NEP, liaising with IT to process any updates/changes.
  • Responsible for ensuring data is inputted correctly to NEP and data is always accurate.
  • Build and maintain a relationship with NEXT HR Services team in order to better understand NEP and its core functionality, ensuring that we follow best practice.
  • Work with NEXT to build and expand on the reports available to Lipsy, continuously reviewing if they are fit for purpose
  • Support Head of People and People Partner on any Reward/NEP related projects ensuring the Lipsy voice is heard.

Your Talent

  • Previous experience in a HR Advisor position within a similar industry working
  • Able to demonstrate experience in managing employee experience from onboarding through to exit
  • Strong organisational skills and able to prioritise tasks.
  • Able to build relationships and communicate
