A large and growing food manufacturer is recruiting for a Customer Liaison Technical Manager / Specifications Technologist, on a permanent full-time basis.

Based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire you will play a key role in the writing of customer specificationsand liaising with customers such as retailers.


Commutable from:
Dunstable, Luton, Harpenden, Leighton Buzzard, Aylesbury, Toddington, Tring, Stevenage


Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 p.a. plus pension, annual leave + bank holiday and others

The Role of Customer Liaison Technical Manager
Assist with writing customer specifications and liaise with customer on technical aspects associated with the manufacture of bread products
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager - you will have experience of specification writing and technical management within the food industry
Spend a percentage of time in the factories each day ensuring customers requirements for product quality and factory standards are met
Factory visits by customers will be important aspect of the job and ensuring that these run smoothly during audits or NPD trials
Be the main technical contact for several key customers including blue chip retailers
Ensure both factory and quality standards are maintained as required by your customers


The Person
Food Science or similar degree qualification would be advantageous
Perfect written and spoken English
Strong communication skills
Experience writing customer specifications
Experience in a technical role in the food industry is desirable
Strong attention to detail
A team player who is equally at home in the factory, writing specifications or talking to retailers/customers
