The Control Room Senior Supervisor will have a broad knowledge of all warehouse processes, providing a strong link between the automation and operation teams whilst monitoring all automated processes throughout the warehouse.

They will coordinate all Control Room workload and priorities, conducting accurate daily handovers and providing regular reporting with Operation Managers and other Control Room Senior Supervisors.


The Control Room Senior Supervisor reports to the Control Room Manager, whilst helping distribute jobs and define priorities for their shift.


Job Description:


  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the shift through effective planning and organisation of workload
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team on your shift, developing their knowledge and skills
  • Support all Warehouse Management Systems and Automation systemic issues
  • Analyse the data collected by the team in order to make recommendations on preventative work needing to be undertaken by the Automation team
  • Provide advice and guidance to the operational management team to maximise the efficiency of operation and mínimalize outcome of breakdowns
  • Communicating with Automation engineers about breakdowns, defining prioritisation order and keeping Operations fully informed on updates and downtimes
  • Identifying opportunities and initiatives for continuous improvements, providing regular feedback on processes and efficiencies to management
  • Attend site meetings as required, offering accurate reporting from the team to the wider operations team

This role will require you to work alternate day/night shifts.

Qualifications:


  • Problem solving mindset and able to think logically and calmly under pressure
  • Ability to guide, mentor and train team members
  • Able to manage, prioritise and delegate a busy workload
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to specific targets and deadlines with excellent attention to detail
  • PC literate, an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft products is essential
  • Thorough understanding of all automated warehouse processes
