Description

You already know the incredible power of professional therapeutic care. Every day in our counselling services across Scotland, we see and value how these skills can transform people's lives and that's why we value professionals like you.

For over 30 years, CrossReach Perinatal Counselling Services have been providing specialist counselling and psychotherapy to pregnant mums, expectant dads and parents with children under 3 years, who are facing perinatal difficulties.

CrossReach Bluebell PerinatalService, based in Glasgow City Centre, working across communities in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, provides parents access to robust and effective therapeutic support within their own communities.

As the Counselling Manager you'll lead our perinatal team, offering guidance and direction while creating the kind of environment where colleagues thrive and clients benefit.

Its primarily a management position but you'll maintain a small counselling caseloadto keep your skills fresh, as well as acting as the escalation point for any clinical issues.

Its a role that requires experience of clinical supervision, managing teams and of working in therapeutic services but also a real passion for early intervention.

To succeed you'll need a diploma in Counselling or equivalent, as well as a qualification inClinical Supervision and/or Training.

Like any counsellor, you should also bring strong communication skills and real empathy to the role, while its important you share our dedication to continued professional development.

In exchange you'll have a generous pension, health benefits, paid holiday and access to a range of leisure and retail discounts.

Just as you'll ensure that your teams have mentoring and development support, we'll do the same for you, with extensive trainingand ongoing support.

Its a chance to build your experience across our broad range of counselling services and even develop some new ones.

At CrossReach, even though we're one of Scotland's largest voluntary social care charities - with a 1,600-strong team working across 60 services around the country - we genuinely value the individual.

For our clients or services users, that means being treatedwith respect and care, regardless of the circumstances.

For professionals like you, it means being part of a genuinely caring environment where you can contribute ideas, have your needs recognised and help shape your role around your ambitions.
