Here at Serco, we are seeking an IT Supplier Relationship Management Specialist to be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with a specific set of IT Suppliers and internal stakeholders, working alongside Heads of Product, Standard Service Managers and Operational teams to ensure that the suppliers are meeting business requirements and as a minimum meeting their contractual obligations, identifying opportunities to improve the cost/commercial relationship and supplier performance management.

This role is critical to ensuring that the suppliers within scope are contributing to optimise efficiency, improve productivity and enhance the commercial and competitive capabilities of Serco.


As part of this you will be:
Responsible for managing and enhancing the working relationship with specific My Technology suppliers and stakeholders
Responsible for working with key stakeholders to ensure practical execution of contractual commitments, supporting the identification of opportunities to improve the commercial and contractual relationship to better achieve operational and commercial targets
Co-ordinate all tasks relating to the Supplier Relationship Management Framework, inclusive of all Operational, Commercial and Business Reviews acting as the main conduit between Serco and its suppliers
Ensure all suppliers follow Serco's standard framework for ongoing due diligence, risk assessment and supplier monitoring
Demonstrate a proactive approach to issue management, ensuring action plans are built so that any issues are either addressed or escalated to the appropriate function
Help and coordinate supplier management processes and methods to operationally manage, on-board and support suppliers in meeting/exceeding contractual commitments
Responsible for tracking, measuring, reporting and evaluating supplier performance, working with Operations, Solutions and SBS Procurement to support improvement actions with the suppliers
Ensure collaborative continuous improvement is followed throughout the contract lifecycle
Collaborate with all IT teams and capabilities across Serco to assure suppliers are effectively managed and existing contracts are completely leveraged
Support SBS Procurement, Solutions and Standard Services in the analysis, selection and transition (on-boarding) of suppliers into the IT Supply Chain

Monitor contractual agreements for all suppliers within scope and work with SBS Procurement and where required legal to ensure suppliers are fulfilling contractual commitments.


What you'll need to do the role:

Good interpersonal skills are essential for this job to ensure the relationship with large stakeholder groups is as effective as possible.

Excellent communication skills are essential for the role
An understanding of Procurement and Supplier management with a keen interest specifically within Information Technology (IT) category.
Understanding of different ways to save costs and My Technology importance to a business overall
Understanding need for a supplier contract and what it can achieve if done well.
Microsoft Office skills to support producing financial reports on costs & revenue (value to Serco)
Highly organised individual
Highly detailed individual with an analytical approach to obtaining, reviewing and producing insight across the supplier landscape for Serco to make decisions upon
Ability to present to key stakeholders and wide audiences
Ambitious individual with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy and precision
Problem solving and a pragmatic approach towards issues
Positive team player, with an interest in providing active feedback in order to develop the team
Strong moral compass, being an advocate for the Serco values, and high professional standards
