We are offering an opportunity to be part of our fantastic school, which aims to provide an outstanding education for every child at Folkestone Academy.

This could be the ideal role for you if you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children through supporting them to achieve, both academically and personally.

This role is to support pupils in developing their skills in English so that they can access all parts of life at FA and achieve their full potential.

This will include working with them in lessons either 1:1 or in small groups, running interventions for them, supporting with related paperwork and co-ordinating with relevant stakeholders.


We are looking for Learning Mentors who are:

  • committed team players with energy and drive;
- able to support children with a range of needs and experiences;
- able to deliver support, both in lesson and small groups in reading, writing, listening and speaking;
- dedicated, enthusiastic, patient and caring.

We are committed to our staff's continuous professional development in all areas, and will ensure that you receive high quality and effective training in order to support you in your role.

However, experience with TEFL or ESOL qualifications would be desirable.

Working 37 hours a week

Term Time + 2 additional weeks (to include INSET Days)

£20,997.00 per year
