Description

As part of on-going business growth, we are looking to enhance our current team focusing on the recruitment of a Finance Administrator to be based at our facility in Middlesbrough.

Salary wise; it's £25,440 per annum

The hours would be days-a-week.

The key aspects of the role include:

  • Process all invoices and credit notes quickly and accurately, ensuring purchase ledger is always accurate and up to date.
  • Administration of the Accounts mailboxes ensuring all mail is dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements against purchase ledger on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring all purchase ledger transactions processed ahead of Purchase Ledger close to meet month end reporting timeline.
  • Ensuring all financial transactions are processed in line with financial controls.
  • Proactively manage invoice queries, work with operational staff to resolve these queries in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of suggested payments.
  • Pay suppliers in line with agreed payment terms and commercial requirements.
  • Cashbook posting and reconciliation.
  • Liaising with the Procurement Team to onboard new suppliers ensuring Due Diligence checks followed and approved.
  • Inputting new suppliers and maintenance of supplier records.
  • Inputting data and record retrieval and update.
  • Providing general office administrative duties including filing and photocopying and undertaking ad hoc tasks as and when required.
  • Setting up and maintaining customer accounts including credit checks where appropriate.
  • Daily posting of all bank transactions including bank receipts enabling reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Issuing of customer statements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's, including Math's and English.
  • Interest and ability to work towards achievement of an appropriate finance qualification.

Skills:


  • Ability to learn new skills and develop into a substantive Finance role.
  • Ability to work to under pressure and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Computer literate with good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly.
  • Excellent customer services skills.
