Trainee Accountant
Location:
Manchester
Salary:
£12,000-£16,000 plus benefits
Role Purpose
A trainee role to support the UK organisation by primarily supporting the GL Team with month end reporting, internal audit, balance sheet lead preparation and any other ad hoc projects.
Role Requirements:
- Maths and English GCSE at 7 (Formerly B) or above.
- High level of personal organisation.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks whilst maintaining high quality output.
- Ability to work under pressure, deal with and manage change.
- Ability to problem solve and be innovative.
- Wishing to start studying towards AAT.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist General Ledger Team including posting journals, bank reconciliations and creating intercompany accruals.
- Support on any other ad hoc projects as instructed by the Financial Controller or Head of Finance.
- Support other finance functions including treasury, accounts payable and credit control where required.
- Provide holiday and study leave cover for the current assistant accountants.
Expected Outcomes:
- First time passes on all AAT examinations
- Minimal review points on all tasks performed.
- Enhancing the overall financial control environment.
