We are looking to appoint a Lecturer Foundation Learning (0.6) to join our team based at our James Watt College.


We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and flexible lecturer to deliver and assess on full time programmes for 16-19 year olds.


You will deliver a variety of Life and Living Skills and Vocational units, alongside Functional Skills English and/or Maths, at entry level and Level 1, to young people, some of which will have a special educational need.

You will also be personal tutor to students as part of their study programme, and will be responsible for their personal development, behaviour and welfare.


Our teachers are expected to use innovative methods of delivery and carry out initial assessment to establish starting points and track learners' progress, recording this effectively, and liaising with colleagues and college management to ensure all learners progress and achieve.


Foundation Learning includes provision for those who are studying at entry or Level 1 and learners may have a learning disability and/or have emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.
