Our client, Deutsche Bank, is a global banking business with strong roots in Germany and operations in over 70 countries.

Deutsche Bank offer their clients commercial and investment banking, retail banking and transaction banking as well as ground-breaking asset and wealth management products and services.

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, AMS are now looking for a Transaction Review Analyst - Sanctions & Embargoes to work in their UKI Sanctions & Embargoes team based in London (Canary Wharf) on a PAYE basis.

The role is hybrid with 2 days per week working in the office.
The length of the contract is initially 2 months.

You will be instrumental in advising on and addressing Sanctions risks.

You will be part of and work within a functional Sanctions department, as well as broader Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), in what is an engaging and challenging taxonomy.


Overview:
You will be joining the UKI Transaction Review Desk as part of the UKI Sanctions & Embargoes team.
Your focus will be the review of transaction filtering alerts.


Key responsibilities:


  • Working within the UKI S&E Transaction Review Desk you will review and disposition transaction filtering alerts, in line with bank policy and applicable law, regulation and guidance.
  • In so doing you will work with the wider UKI Sanctions & Embargoes team and wider stakeholders within the bank.
  • You will compile metrics and provide regulator updates to the team's management.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience leading or working within a Sanctions screening department.
  • Expert with Sanctions laws and regulations applicable in the UK as well as international programmes of the United States, European Union and United Nations.
  • A good knowledge of the banking industry and the respective product spectrum of an international Investment and Corporate Bank.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and communicate with a range of stakeholders effectively.
