About the role


A varied and exciting role where you'll influence national policy and the planning and delivery of mental health and dementia services for people with Parkinson's, their carers and their families.

You'll also work closely with both colleagues and external stakeholders to drive the implementation of these policies.


What you'll do

  • Creating policy positions and identifying opportunities to influence national mental health and dementia policy across government departments and bodies.
  • Developing and implementing national campaigns involving people with Parkinson's, their families, and carers.
  • Undertaking research and gathering relevant insights from people affected by Parkinson's and across the organisation to produce robust evidence.
  • Analyse the implications of relevant policies, consultations from Westminster and develop our response.

What you'll bring

  • Thorough understanding of and proven experience of influencing government, decision makers and public policy at every level, preferably in the mental health, dementia and disability sector.
  • Experience of running successful national campaigns, organising events and managing coalitions
  • Research, analytical and information gathering skills with the ability to process large amounts of detailed information and present them in a persuasive manner.
  • Ability to organise internal and external events and meetings and building working relationships.

Interviews will be held on 12 and 13 December.


As well as flexible working hours, this role is offered on a flexible contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home, on an agreed working pattern.

You will be required to cover your own travel expenses to the office.
