An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Interpreting and Cultural Insight Team as an Administrator.

Working in a central role and coordinating requests for language support from all departments within the Trust, this is a unique opportunity to work with staff across all sites.


The post-holder will also be responsible for coordinating Cultural Awareness Training, supporting staff with booking on to training sessions, analysing data and feedback surveys.


This is a varied role with the opportunity to work on a range of tasks to improve Patient Experience and facilitate communication between staff, patients and families.

The Interpreting & Cultural Insight Administrator will be the first point of contact, therefore, will need to demonstrate high level multi-taking skills in order to respond quickly to urgent requests for language support.

The post-holder will manage the Interpreting inbox and receive telephone enquiries, take relevant action or relay messages to appropriate members of the Interpreting team.


The administrator will be responsible for the allocation of all BWC Interpreting and translation requests, as well as using Interpreting portals, Office 365 and Outlook Calendars to record and monitor all patient and staff requests for language support.


The post holder will work autonomously using highly developed administrative skills to be able to influence and negotiate with staff at all levels across the Trust promoting opportunities to engage and further enhance Language Support strategies.


The post-holder will also provide administrative support to the Interpreting and Cultural Insight Coordinator and Manager on a range of projects to further develop Language Services at BWC.
