School Support Worker required to provide support for children who have been excluded form mainstream education.

Are you a Support worker or TA who has experience working with challenging behaviours or SEMH needs? Are you passionate about breaking downsocial and academic barriers for young people? This dynamic Alternative Provision are looking for a School Support worker to join the team on a long-term basis.

As a Support Worker you will be working on a 1-2-1 and small group basis with students who require additional support.

This role requires a Support Worker who has experience with young people and is confident in their ability to build rapport and deescalatebehaviours.

If you are looking for a role where no two days are the same, look no further. This is a full time role, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30.support

Job Role:

  • Supporting Key Stage 3 & 4 students on a 121 basis
  • Having a good understanding of SEMH Needs and challenging behaviours
  • Working as a Support Worker
  • Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
  • Breaking down barriers to communication and managing behaviours
