Financial Accountant

  • A large and successful business in South Wales are recruiting a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their UK Finance Team and a real opportunity to make your mark on a thriving company.
As Financial Accountant,you will report to the Finance Controller and responsibilities will include:


  • Assist with monthend closing process, preparing journal entries as necessary and reviewing accounts.
  • Coordination of monthly Balance Sheet review process to ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are updated in a timely manner.
  • Assist in driving business and functional improvements through financial planning and analysis.
  • Work with the operational Finance team across several locations to implement best practice and align accounting processes where necessary.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: reviewing departmental spend reports with budget holders.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience with a strong financial accounting background
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines required, flexibility and stay organized
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpace setting. Experience with large automated accounting systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
