Responsibilities:
- Conducting QC Testing in line with Oxoid test specifications and methods.
This will include but is not limited to:
- HPLC operating and standard/ sample preparation in accordance with testing methods
- Completing OOS reports and assisting with investigations
- Training quality records recorded and maintained
- Plan, prioritize, track and control the progress of products under test, and provide accurate availability dates to planning and customer services
- Alerting their Team Leader of potential problems/failures and assist with further investigation
- Ensure all test results are recorded within the SAP Quality Management module
- Equipment checks, cleaning and audits
- Waste management
- Consumable replenishing
- Ensure processes and procedures are accurately carried out as per the laboratory and company Quality Systems
- Build and maintain strong effective working relationships to ensure robust collaboration crossfunctionally and with key collaborators (key interfaces include QC senior management, QA, Manufacturing Sciences, Production, Customer Services and Planning) to ensure customer service level targets are met
- Taking direction from the QC Team Leader, Lead Scientist and Senior Scientist regarding prioritization of finished product and raw material testing
- Engage in continuous improvement using the PPI lean methodology including standard work and tier meetings. Use PPI processes to address problems and improve departmental and business processes
- Demonstrate the Thermo Fisher 4I Values and use as a daytoday guide in quality decision making
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the position as defined in the Oxoid Health, Safety and Environmental policies and associated Codes of Practice

Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant experience of quality control testing within a chemistry laboratory environment
- Composure
- Able to remain calm and work methodically and to a quality standard
- Significant experience in using SAP, and MS Office software packages
- Problem Solving
- Effective in technical and organizational troubleshooting to root cause
- Communicates openly and crafting collaborative relationships by developing strong work relationships, displaying integrity and building trust across functions
- Core laboratory skills and expertise in various wet chemistry and analytical techniques such as HPLC analysis and chromatography techniques, with an excellent understanding of the relevance of the data generated.
