Do you have knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software?


If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Broadstairs for an Accounts Payable Assistant to work for one of my clients who is a leading travel company.

My client is offering a competitive salary of £25,000 - £27,500 per annum, depending on experience.


As the Accounts Payable Assistant your responsibilities would include:

  • Conduct the maintenance of the Purchase Ledger
  • including processing invoices and expenses, setting up new supplier accounts
  • Prepare supplier payments for review by the Accounts head/Directors
  • Posting credit cards transactions and perform reconciliations
  • Work on supplier account reconciliations ensuring an accurate record of the companies' expenditure is held on record
  • Deliver regular and accurate reviews management regarding the purchase ledger to ensure the ledger record remains up to date
  • Other duties as deemed reasonable

Person Specification:


  • Ability to plan and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • AAT qualified or in the early stages of your study towards either of the ACA / ACCA qualifications
  • 2 years' working experience in bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
