This is an exciting opportunity to join the NHS Borders Wellbeing Service which provides a range of programmes to support clients to make positive changes to their health and emotional wellbeing
These may include:
- Smoking cessation
- Support for healthier lifestyles including healthy eating and physical activity
- Supporting emotional wellbeing such as mild anxiety, stress, depression, loneliness and isolation.
Through this provision the Wellbeing Service aims to reduce health inequalities and improve the wellbeing of people living in Scottish Borders.
The post-holder will support people using evidence based health behaviour change, CBT and self-help approaches to improve health and wellbeing.
The post-holder will work within an adviser team in an identified geographical/locality area and maintain local networks and an awareness of opportunities available for their clients.
The successful applicant will have a degree in a relevant area (e.g. health improvement, support and care services) and will have relevant practical experience of providing professional support to individuals.
