Why your role matters


As a Senior Fire Safety Consultant, you will be expected to undertake fire risk assessments in a wide range of premises, including complex and sleeping risk premises.

Supporting our clients with their fire safety requirements, providing practical solutions and advice on onsite issues. Regional and national travel is required.


What you'll be doing


The Senior Fire Safety Consultant will conduct a diverse range of daily fire risk assessments in various premises, offering guidance and assistance to clients in alignment with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Approved Codes of Practices, and current fire safety recommendations.

Additionally, you will assist the Head of Fire Safety by conducting onsite evaluations of our fire safety consultants performing risk assessments, providing resilience, and aiding the Head of Fire Safety as needed, including the Quality Assurance of fire risk assessments.

Furthermore, you will provide fire safety training to clients when necessary.

Additionally, there may be occasional involvement in supporting clients with general health and safety requirements, such as workplace inspections and audits.

Although not mandatory, qualifications in health and safety and membership in IOSH or IIRSM are desirable.


About you


You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in conducting Fire Risk Assessments in diverse and intricate premises with sleeping risk considerations, along with holding an A Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or its equivalent.

Your experience will demonstrate proficiency in conducting compartmentation and fire door surveys across various premises, showcasing a solid understanding of regulatory frameworks such as Approved Document B, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, DCLG Guidance documents, and British Standards including BS9999 & BS9991.


Additionally, you should be accredited by IFE, IFSM, FRACS, or IFPO and be registered on a Fire Risk Assessors register.

Your experience should extend to providing fire safety support and guidance to fellow fire safety consultants.

It's imperative to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance for fire safety services and fire risk assessments, with a minimum coverage of £1 million.


Where you'll be working
Central UK (Midlands) & Homeworking with nationwide travel.


The Package
This role attracts a salary of
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus £5,000 car allowance and an attractive company benefits package including:
