An exciting opportunity to set up the Payroll function and hire a small team. You will also be involved in selecting and implementing a new Payroll system.


Client Details


A small-to-medium sized, rapidly expanding business, with with brand new modern offices in the Kingston upon Thames area (specifically, Hampton Court) with free parking provided and easy access via public transport.


Description

The Payroll Manager - Recruitment industry role involves:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the Payroll Team (currently 1 x Payroll Administrator, but looking to grow the team by an additional 1-2 heads).
  • Taking a 'hands on' approach to delivering a smooth payroll function.
  • Implementation of new pay and bill system over first 69 months of tenure, working closely with the Finance Manager and CEO to ensure implementation is done smoothly.
  • Dealing with any escalations passed to you by the team and working collaboratively across the teams to deal with any issues.
  • Interviewing potential team members and onboarding them as you build your own dream team.
  • Managing the invoicing processes from start to finish.
  • Delivering fortnightly MI to the Directorship.
  • Submission of weekly/monthly PAYE returns.
  • Submission of weekly/monthly pension contributions.
Weekly Payroll for circa 250 temporary staff (time-sheets). This number is projected to increase quite significantly.

Monthly Payroll for circa 40 staff. Also projected to increase to circa 50-60)


Profile
- be an experienced Payroll Manager / Payroll Supervisor / Payroll Team Leader
- live locally as this is a fully office based role (there may be potential for 1 day per week from home, but this is yet to be confirmed)

  • Will have managed / supervised staff previously (not essential)
- previous recruitment industry experience is advantageous (not essential)

  • Weekly payroll experience / Temporary staff payroll experience (desirable)
- previous experience of implementing a Payroll system (desirable)
