Description
The University of East London (UEL) is a vibrant and diverse university located in Stratford and Docklands.

We are implementing our Vision 2028 strategy, to transform our curriculum and partnerships to make a positive difference to student, graduate and community success.

Our goal is to become the leading careers-focused, enterprising university in the UK, one which both prepares our students for the jobs of the future and provides the innovation to drive that future sustainably and inclusively.

The School of Psychology is one of the largest in the UK and has a long-standing leading position in the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate professional training spanning from traditional specialisms to new and pioneering pathways into psychological practice.

This is complemented by a strong research profile, commitment to research informed teaching and to promoting a culture of scholarly activities across the academic year.

We are a school that drives innovation and excellence in programme development and student experience.

The Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme established its Doctoral training in 1975 and partners with the other North Thames Courses for clinical placements.

We pride ourselves on our distinctive approach to the discipline, focused on community and addressing systemic social inequalities.

Our Clinical Tutors facilitate, support, and allocate placement provision within the north Thames region, alongside colleagues across the TriCourse (UCL, UEL and RHUL).

The successful applicants will help contribute to the components of the programme that focus on the development and assessment of clinical skills, including teaching and seminar facilitation both face-to-face and online.

Clinical Tutors also supervise trainee research projects, facilitate small group Personal and Professional Development (PPD) trainee groups and act as Clinical Tutor for a specific cohort of trainees, alongside Individual Tutor role for a cluster of trainees (conducting MPRs and individual support).

The appointed individual will have a qualification and substantial experience in Clinical or Counselling Psychology and be registered with the HCPC to practice.

Previous experience as a supervisor in the NHS and contribution to Clinical and/or Counselling Psychology training programmes is desirable.
