Description

Protocol is working closely with a college in the
Rotherham area, in their search for a
Supported Internship Job Coach.

The Supported Internship Job Coach's role is to ensure that learners with High Needs and SEND whom are studying on the Pre & Supported Internship Programmes are supported whilst out on placement with an employer.

You will support within the vocational studies programme area to ensure our learners receive an outstanding Quality of Education and develop their employability skills to become employable.

You will also support employers to enable them to offer a meaningful internship and recruit interns where possible in conjunction with the Work Placement Coordinators.

This position is
permanent, and you would be working on a
part time basis of 30 hours per week.

The pro-rata salary is £12,880 per annum.

The person & qualifications

You will have experience in supporting young people/vulnerable adults who have additional needs. This could be emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
You will have the ability to plan, prepare & implement support programmes/assessments as and when required and understand the process around Safeguarding referrals.
You will need to hold or be working towards your Maths and English L2/C/4 grade to be considered for this role.
Be willing to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification.
