Boys & Girls Clubs is seeking Senior Youth Worker to review the current approaches in youth work in relation to Health & Wellbeing, assess the needs of participants and design & deliver an innovative Health & Wellbeing programme.
This will involve adopting a co-design approach and establishing a cohort of health champions to direct and influence services.JOB DESCRIPTION - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Youth Worker ( Health & Wellbeing) will:
- Work closely with membership organisations and other disciplines from across the community, voluntary and statutory sectors.
- Conduct desktop research on Wellbeing for All Approaches within Youth Work Settings.
- Lead a small team of 5 workers to co-design and develop a resource pack to support the delivery of a youth work wellbeing for all programme. This will include session plans, innovative approaches to youth wellbeing, activities, and the development of learning materials to support/enrich learning.
- Oversee pilot delivery of two newly developed health & wellbeing programmes for 9-13 and 14-18 age groups.
- Evaluate delivery of the programmes and make responsive changes based on recommendations of participants and stakeholders.
- Facilitate training for youth workers on the newly developed programme and resources.
- Carry out all administrative duties associated with the project, including reporting against outcomes, maintaining participant database, and updating Salesforce (online CRM System).
- Prepare and maintain accurate records for monthly progress reports, quarterly moderations, and end of year reports.
- To ensure the achievements of youth work staff and volunteers are celebrated and recognised through a regional event.
- Oversee the production of a short film that illustrates the delivery and success of the training which will be showcased as part of the celebration event.
- To manage, coordinate and oversee the health & wellbeing services offered by Boys & Girls Clubs.
- To represent the organisation at stakeholder meetings and contribute to the growth of our membership and services.
- Ensure compliance with all Boys & Girls Clubs (NI) polices notably safeguarding, health and safety, equal opportunities, and communication policies.
- As Boys & Girls Clubs is a growing organisation, the detail of your daily tasks will inevitably change over time. Please note that while all efforts are made to include the main responsibilities, you may, from time to time be required to undertake activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities as directed by the management.
